Tomorrow…

She stood upon the corner,
Large with new life
Alone and abandoned
No claim as a wife

Orphaned as a young girl,
And now cast out
Her past marred with pain
Her future in doubt

She stands in her only garment
Too short for the Mandir
Where she’d hoped to get help
Or someone to care.

A few dollars in her pocket
Enough for one night
To sleep in a small room
Until morning’s light

What will that new dawn bring?
Where will she go?
Will the God’s favour her?
Tomorrow… tomorrow…
