I want to hear silence
in the midst of a party song
To sleep through the day
that lasts all night long

I want to see a waterfall
flowing frozen in time
And a sloth count his fingers
and far surpass nine

I want to feel your heartbeat
from across a crowded room
And watch upon a moonless night
A flower unfold and bloom

I want to tell the world I love you
But I want no one to know
I want time to unravel
Even as the future sews.
