An Answer

I read a poem titled “Endings” from Cate Derham and it inspired an answer (of sorts)


I fear the first teardrop
when I cry for a love that’s gone
I dread our last words,
gone, like a fading song.

Memories of moments together
Remnants of “Love Forever”

Passions pull strong.

The Reflection

My friend looked at a photo of herself standing near a puddle, she asked herself a question…“Did you ever wonder if the person in the puddle is real, and you’re just a reflection of her?”
And this was my answer…


The image in the puddle,
a reflection of the world
A mirror of what is,
not what might be preferred.

A true representation,

Tears from Heaven

Tears from heaven, upon my skin
drench my clothes, and my soul within

Falling drops of liquid mercy
Wash me clean, and set me free

Wash my eyes, run down my cheeks
cleanse my soul, remove my iniquity

Tears from heaven, pour down on me
Restore my vision, let me see…
