Heaven’s Whisper

Mercury drops,
the moonlit heavens whisper
words of peace and harmony;
Fire crackles,

Untitled 02122014

across the room
and listens,
silent, teary-eyed;

others read
the words
he’d written
in a time
long gone bye.

He hears the words
of tales he’s told
his children
and his peers

And weeps inside
as he looks
toward
his final
golden years.
