Change is coming

A wind blows, chilly, fresh,
new scents upon it rides
a change is coming…

Hairs on end, crawling flesh,
winds before the tides,
a change is coming…

Embers glow, fires thresh,
the heat and chill divides,
a change is coming…

Fiery dawn, its life refreshed,
old and new collides,
a change is coming.

Farewell

Upon a journey
she left,
with nary a glance behind,
toward a future
uncertain,
but ripe with much unknown.

Longing for her touch
just once,
But that might be just too much,
wishing for a kiss,
no, never!
For insane I’d then be driven.

Goodbye I said, ‘bye,
so long,
Outwardly smiling at her,
Goodbye, my heart sighed,
adieu,
Goodbye, so long, farewell.
